Question IPlayer displays initial image only

    Hi,

First thanks for the wonderful application, the key app that has tempted me away from both Mythtv and Windows Media Centre is Iplayer!

....which stopped working recently. I've been through the myriad threads about this issue to no avail.

    Setup:
clean install of Boxee on Windows 7 Professional and Home Edition
VPN works fine - tested with Iplayer in browser and Windows Media Centre
Two machines with different specs, one Atom based and one Core vPro with at least 2G of RAM
    Boxee version: 0.9.22.13692

    Symptoms:
choosing IPlayer we can navigate the sources and programme
Choosing any programme (Video) will provide the usual window actions
    Enter full window mode
Eventually will show a still image of the selected programme with the initial image of the "swirling wait icon"
    then nothing!

once in that mode I can hit the stop button and get back into normal functions of boxee. hitting pause/ff/rew does nothing.

I looked at the fxblplayer "fixed" thread and could not see anything different or a way to fix the problem.

I've attached a "debug level" log for reference, hoping you'd have better luck with this than I.

Netflix works fine and I can see video and sounds as well as navigation controls.

    Any help would be appreciated....

    Default Same problem

Same problem since yesterday. Large image shows up for each show and the rotating icon freezes. No chance to see the click here for play.

I connect through VPN which is is working fine since i see the catalogue of shows.

Windows 7 ultimate on ion 330 with boxee latest version. Please please help by fixing it. Txs

nothing shows up that i can click on, on occasion I get "Click here to play" but it is not functional.

I've used the xbmc IPlayer 2.3.1 with the latest Dharma release and that works very well.

I've noticed the streams are coming from different CDNs now and not the core BBC url, would that have an effect on this iplayer?

    thx

I have the same issue - new install on Win7. One thing to add which may or may not be a clue is that the today marker on the prog list in iplayer thinks it's Monday - not Wednesday.
And, yes, before you ask, the time/date on my PC is correct!

Any help?? I'd really like to see a fix for this - otherwise a good app and the iPhone control is excellent.

    Cheers, Dilly

    Default nevermiss.tv

For those in the UK who want an all in one live IPTV and catch up service that uses a remote, go visit www.nevermiss.tv. It's still in Beta, but aside from one day's outtage, which was resolved the same day, it hasn't gone completely wrong for me. Worst thing is that occasionally, the player needs an extra click to get it fullscreen.

It acts as a front end for TVCatchup and the TV channels sites' own catch-up service.

I'm now using this while Boxee is out of action. Depending on who is best able to keep up to date with changes at BBC, ITV, C4, Five, etc. AND with little or no intervention from me, will decide who I ultimately end up using all the time.

I just updated to the above boxee version and now iplayer is broken, it was working fine with boxee-0.9.21.11487, So are you sure changes the iplayer site are the cause? I think it is something in the boxee update that has broken it.
