    Default BBC iplayer App Broken

BBC is now rolling out the new iPlayer Beta, which includes age verification for some programs... and the Boxee App appears to have broken...

Whilst the app is still updating my program lists correctly, once i click on a TV show to watch, the video gets as far as loading up and maximising to full screen.

    Then it doesnt start.

It just says "click here to play" but nothing happens.

Is anyone else having this problem? Does anyone know how to fix it? Is there an iPlayer app update on the way?

    Thanks

I'm using Windows7 with the most uptodate flash.

Is this not a common problem then?

I can accesss the BBC iPlayer and see the TV Program choices to play - but after choosing any of them I get a message that says it's only available in the UK -- see the attached screenshot - and I'm not in the UK

I think you've answered your own question? At the moment, those outside the UK cannot access BBC TV content... although i hear there is a new EU directive which i going to force the BBC to allow access to its content throughout the EU (but not outside EU)

Yes, a lot of content is geo-protected -- if you're outside of the UK, you'll need a UK VPN connection to access BBC and other UK-only content. And vice-versa if you're outside of the US and want access to things like Hulu -- you'll need a US VPN service.

I completely understood the fact that I am "Geo"-locked out of the iPlayer

I was just answering the statement in the first post - "Then it doesnt start. It just says "click here to play" but nothing happens" -- that the App works for me, - but because I'm not from the UK - even though the App functions, I can not play any content

Not an issue now - since Marcel and the team has it working - (for the UK users)
