Boxee using 40-45% cpu on when sitting on Home screen?

Hi Guys,

I'm also experiencing the 40% idle with boxee running.
I originally thought it would be due to indexing but I've set all my files to never index.
Even with a clean os installed ( XP SP3 ) It will still idle at 40% even if boxee has no content.

I'm also looking for a thread about boxee using external codecs if someone could point me the direction of a thread would be grand

I had the same issue on my xbmc, solved by switch vsync off, or to video only - prevents tearing.

Hi, having the same problem. Tried switching vsync off, no effect. Boxee still idles at 30-35% cpu. I'd like to know how much of that is contributing to the 55% cpu used while playing hulu 320p -- < 20% in FF.

Does anyone know what kind of priority decreasing cpu usage is for the boxee team? It is really important to us atom users.
