[Released!!!] Navi-X for Boxee!!!

Hi Ironbill

First; thanks for doing such a great job with navi x. I recently got my boxee and i find my self using navi x every day.

My problem is that i cant save any files to my favorite links. Well actually i can, but when i log off navi x the favorite list is empty. Ive tried to look at the FAQ but so far i havent found an answer to my problem.

I hope you can help me.

This should be the design. If you login as your navi user, your favorities should be there. When you logout, your settings go with it.

I log in, save to my favorites and then log off. When i log in again the file i saved to my favorites are gone. Are you sure this is how it is supposed to work?

I did not see where you were logging back in and the favorities were gone. No, I do not think that is the design.

I can check mine tonight when I get home and post my results?

It logs off when i turn off the boxee box. Electricity is quite expensive where i live, so i try to switch off my equipment when im not using it.

I do not see where the favorites are removed whether i login / logout or close and open the app.

Rebooting the boxee and relaunching the app and favorites are still there.

I don't either. Favorites are a local storage feature. When you add/delete a favorite, that all happens on the local machine.

I would say this is a permissions issue if your favorites does not popup. Ever since the sandbox was installed on Boxee Box, some users get this... others don't. Some things you can try to address it would be to try resetting all settings in your factory restore menu or to perform a factory restore on your boxee box, THEN upgrade your firmware via USB stick, NOT the internet. Here's instructions on factory restoring. Accessing the factory restore menu by holding the power button for 7 seconds from an off state will get you to the restore/reset menu.

Give it a shot. If it doesn't fix it, I don't have any other fixes to try so hopefully it's the winner for you. Some people it fixes the issue... others, it doesn't.
