Hey Folks,
I already said it until I'm blue in the face, but apparently no one is listening so I will make one final attempt to explain what's up before I just ignore people asking me to explain myself over and over...
Navi-X on Boxee currently is having issues at our repository. No estimated time on a fix for our repository, as I'm currently unemployed and spending most of my time looking for a job so I don't starve so that comes first. When I get time to look into this in the evenings, I will. Until then, this is the last time I'm saying it so don't ask again or you can expect me to be rude about it... just a heads up... no e-mails, tweets or facebook shouts... enough is enough.
The good news is apparently Navi-X for Boxee is still accessible from FuzzTheD's repository. It says 1.47 when you hit it... it says 1.45 when you open it. WE ARE AWARE OF THAT, but it appears to work fine from his repository as long as it's not the weekend, where we have been getting outages constantly.
As for why Navi-X service has not been working on the weekends...
Specifically Friday, Saturday and Sunday, people have been slamming our servers so hard, we simply can't keep the service up and running during these days for sure. We have already put our service on a brand new dedicated server run by Team XBMCHub that's twice the old shared server we were using before. We have also done maintenance on NaviXtreme Media Portal to lower the amount of requests that Navi-X engages... now if you have hit the same file server you hit in a Navi-X session, you won't have to reach us again to use a processor... it's performing caching of the processors locally so we cut down on GET/POST requests to our database. This has helped, but not resolved the issue.
We are currently looking into better management of resources, considering a brand new and improved user interface and are attempting to unify Navi-X services and resources all into one location. It will be a long time until we can implement this as lots of testing and coding is required, but rest assured, we are trying to find every available solution to stabilize Navi-X service. Until then, you should simply keep in mind if Navi-X is unreachable, it's because of an outage caused by peak usage from our users and you DO NOT need to notify myself or Navi-X staff about this. WE ARE ALREADY AWARE OF THIS BEFORE MANY OTHERS ARE.
For now, we ask for all Navi-X users to try to avoid Friday Saturday and Sunday INTENSIVE use of our app. If everyone doesn't burn through the database by clicking links constantly, not waiting for a link to load before backing out and just having a little patience, service should technically work fine on the weekends, BUT NO PROMISES! EXPECT THIS GOING FORWARD UNTIL WE SAY OTHERWISE.
You can also use Navi-X on XBMC if you got a problem using Navi-X via fuzzthed's repository, so it's not like you all don't have options. Remember, if you can't access
www.NaviXtreme.com, Navi-X service is down and we appreciate your patience everytime we need to restore service.
FuzzTheD's Repository

If you put that in your repository address list and favorite Navi-X, it will stay in your favorite apps section everytime.
Once again, your patience and understanding of this matter is greatly appreciated and know we are doing everything we can within our abilities to keep Navi-X service running continuously. Thanks!
Regards,
Bill Daly
