Now take your technically-declined, arrogant attitude elsewhere, before you get "super-banned" for harassment.

By the way, most people get their issues fixed when they ask for support... I guess you know everything though so there is no suggesting anything to you... even though I been working with Navi-X just fine for a long time, I don't have the patience to bend down and pat you on the head... your loss.

Then I suppose that mass posts by people on this forum and other related forums complaining about the same thing is just what....a mirage? Seems to me that the Flash upgrade is an apparent issue that Boxee has yet to solve. It also seems to me that the disappearing and reappearing favorites is another issue that Boxee has yet to solve. It also appears to me that people are still having problems with their remote controllers shorting out. I would say that's another unresolved issue.

In re to Navi X and its constant playback errors, who has the time to deal with it? Who has the time or patience if they have a long night ahead of them to figure out which links are dead and which ones aren't; hence relying on Channel 1 where every link works and every movie plays without a playback error.

Technically declined. Yes, very true. I'm an attorney, I'm not in tech support. I read an advertisement, was lured into purchasing a product with the expectation that it would work as advertised and have yet to experience that.

Now in re to arrogant, when someone states that Boxee is riddled with issues, which is clearly is, a non arrogant tech support exployee of Boxee, such as yourself, would follow the number one rule that the customer is always right instead of getting highly offended that the company he works for markets a defunct product.

    Default !

    and we love Navi-X, here
It provides a lot of content to boxee users and if you get to know how to search through scrapers, you'll find the links that work properly.

    In total agreement!

I could use some pointers though on searching through scrapers, please?

    Couple of things to remember;

    1. Navi-x is a third party add-on to Boxee, it is not a part of the API, it is generated by people who are not associated with Boxee. Navi-x is not a flash based app. It is not browser based or reliant upon flash to work. It aggregates sources, lists them and so on. Your beef with flash is legitimate vis a vis the boxee browser and compatibility with some of the websites (fox etc) that have ported to Flash 11. You might want to contact marcel and vent to him (you can find his email here somewhere). I agree with you about the flash lag, its a problem and must be addressed.

    2. Bill does not work for boxee, nor do any of the people on this forum (unless their signature states they do !). Im an engineer who has been answering questions and fixing issues on this site for several years. I do it for free, to help, to make a difference, which I might add, Bill does. He may be gruff, but he's a good guy who helps more than he bites ().

Do some more research, take a deep breathe and contact Marcel if you feel this strongly. You weaken your argument (which is valid) when you resort to venting. I would hate to face you in court

Well, one example of where the customer is wrong is assuming he works for Boxee.

Flash is made by Above - not by Boxee.

Many people do hot have disappearing favorites, myself included. If yours vanish, perform a log off and log on - or log a formal support ticket with Boxee. They will most likely have you submit log files.

If you feel the product is not serving whatever you bought it for, I would suggest returning it. Look into Roku or GoogleTV or an Apple TV. They ALL have their issues. If you do not like the price point, take it back and get a refurb for $125.

Lastly, ironbill does not work for Boxes. No ones pays him to moderate, nor create and fix Navi-x. I myself do work in tech support.

I can never seem to find anything with the search, but if i search through the links i'll eventually find what i was searching for.

    1. Circle of death? At least that's what I heard it termed all over the forums.
    2. Flash issue? I've seen many programs asking for an update to play related content.
    3. Boxee freezes?
    4. Favorites disappearing then reappearing....

Okay... I'm trying to be nothing but civil about this. You started this argument by coming here to flame us about how Navi-X and Boxee sucks...

You didn't really read up on our project, Navi-X or you would have seen our Wiki, where everything has been explained already...

You clearly are mad about Navi-X or Boxee not working for you, yet you don't know what problem is what groups issue... a common mistake I can understand.

Then you made personal attacks on me without even reaching out for support... you admit your a lawyer and not a computer technician, yet instead of asking for help, you immaturely flamed us... not very lawyer like if you ask me.

The circle of death happens when media fails to load into the player. IT HAPPENS... welcome to the internet. There are numerous reasons why it would fail, including codec/playback issues, missing file on the end of a file locker, drop in connectivity, you name it.

Flash issues only occur in the Boxee browser and occur with sites using Adobe 10.3 and up... complain to Team Boxee about it, not us. I couldn't fix it if you wanted me to... it's a Boxee issue. We are hardly affected by this in Navi-X.

Boxee freezes?? Take it up with Boxee.

Favorites disappearing and reappearing?? Another Boxee issue.

It seems like your beef is mostly with Boxee, not Navi-X... so you aimed your anger in the wrong direction.

I don't work for Team Boxee whatsoever... I work on an open-source project called Navi-X and we are also held captive to issues in the Boxee software... welcome to my world.

I do this without getting paid a red cent and because I'm able to tolerate people when they blow up on me because their toaster isn't working... I do this for free and for the love of the app. Our app works fine for alot of people but when it doesn't, it's the users responsibility to reach out to us and ask for help figuring out why it's not working properly... I don't have ESP, little less ESPN... which is why I use Navi-X to watch ESPN as well... so don't be upset when I can't guess that Navi-X is giving you issues... I'm not a mind reader. The next time you try being so visceral with someone, why don't you consider where they stand and who they are instead of showing them how angry you can be... and facts also help in winning an argument as well.

I'll try not to take it personal when you don't apologize for being wrong.

I am not going to judge or support any side.
All I can say (and I know for sure it is true) is: it is easy to criticize, but hard to do (create) something.
