This gave me a great laugh this morning after reading Bozo the Clown's post about how much he hates Navi-X.

I don't know why people incist on whining about our app when it doesn't work for them... it's like they don't have the humility to ask for help because they are too busy acting too macho for a forum discussion.

THIS IS WHY WE HAVE TECHNICAL SUPPORT... to help those who are having troubles figure out if we can fix it or what problem is causing their issue to occur... it's like it never occurs to people they can actually ask for help as opposed to throwing us under a bus.

I like how he based his whole Navi-X user experience on JUST ONE PROCESSOR!!

"OMG!! One section or link in Navi-X didn't work, therefore Navi-X is a big piece of poo!"

I love the lack of intelligence in some peoples thinking!

Side note regarding the last gripes I read about ice films not working:

I tried a "random sampling" of tv, movies, and other. Found about 75% working, though some were dead links (Shawshank Redemption, but its played 24/7 on A&E. lol)

I enjoyed an old School Seinfeld stand-up routine last night - that dude used to be funny

Well my question is, is there any chance of getting the live tv rtmp links working on navi-x yet on the boxee box as it works flawlessly on xbmc but not the box for some reason :S

Actually dickhead, the app has been glitching off and off for the last few months. I've read the forums with the SAME people having the SAME issue for months. It's not a mysterious issue. It's a playback error that pops up every time I try to access a video on Navi X. I've seen your posts addressing those with the SAME issues as I have. I've seen the lame explanations also and the SAME people coming back asking the SAME questions and asking for the SAME help. In essence, you don't know shit because if you did, your piece of shit app would work; hence, me posting a solution. Instead of asking some fuckhead smartass behind a pc that actually doesn't know shit from Shinola, try watching everything from Channel 1.

Also, it's for 90% of the movies that I've been trying to access with Naxi X. If I were to type in Indiana Jones and 15 Indiana Jones movies popped up, 14 out of the 15 would either give a Playback error OR they'd play and then kick me back to the main screen after 10-20 minutes into the movie.

Also, there's no need to act "macho" the app is a glitching piece of shit. If the issue is "dead links" then it's one frigging dead link after another. Instead of calling my venting "macho" it's actually expressing frustration and having some fat nerdy douche bag respond like a smart ass.

But when evaluating the overall experience of Boxee, why don't I delve deeper into the:

    1. Circle of death? At least that's what I heard it termed all over the forums.
    2. Flash issue? I've seen many programs asking for an update to play related content.
    3. Boxee freezes?
    4. Favorites disappearing then reappearing.

The list goes on and on. Frankly, I work all day. For $175 all I expected to do was come home after a long day at work and expect things to run smoothly or at least have a fraction of the problems. Think I haven't read the forums in re to TONS of people crying about no flash updates, or the same explanations for rebooting and / or powering off and wiping Boxee of the installed updates. How about the lingering mystery of why favorites appear then disappear? How about talk all over the forums that this thing will become obsolete should many more websites continue to require the upgraded flash?

Now you tell me, if I have issues with my Boxee, which is obvious, why would I ask someone like you OR Tech Support i they couldn't get their shit together to begin with?

Well... since I have more class than you, I will take the high road...

Here's your refund back for the app... I'm sooooo sorry Masa for not making you happy... $0.00...

Now take your technically-declined, arrogant attitude elsewhere, before you get "super-banned" for harassment.

By the way, most people get their issues fixed when they ask for support... I guess you know everything though so there is no suggesting anything to you... even though I been working with Navi-X just fine for a long time, I don't have the patience to bend down and pat you on the head... your loss.

Your choice of words are not only in violation of forum rules, but I doubt will get your point across.

Personally, I've always loved Navi-X. Doing a little general development myself I can appreciate all of the fantastic work that has gone into it. There has even been times it was a life saver. And IT"S FREE! I'm grateful!

I don't understand all of the behind-the-scene stuff that make it all work, but I'm sure there is a measure of it that is beyond the Navi-X staff's control.

Whatever problems there may or may not be will definitely not get solved by the exchange of harsh words.

    I don't know...maybe offer some constructive ideas?

A little respect for your fellow forum posters and the developers can go a long way.

    Just sayin'

I think my boxee box has fallen into a timewarp into the future where everything on my box has just started working flawlessly and with very little buffering at the beginning when I watch anything on IceFilms now. Granted not everything plays, 95% of the stuff I have been trying to watch from them works without issue.

I just hope it doesn't stop doing whatever it is that it's doing because I'm not even wanting to do a firmware update at this point JUST BECAUSE it's working and alot of people seem unable to get it to work. Lucky me!

I wish I had more time to look into this but I could definitely post a YouTube video of it working just fine for me if I still have skeptics. Maybe try factory restoring your boxee box's and then a manual update from USB will do the trick. It hasn't worked for others for some reason but hey... maybe some of you will get lucky as I have until I get a chance to look at why this is this week. Sorry folks!

    iRoNBiLL
Haha! I'm glad Icefilm is working for you so well!
The small 5% of stuff that isn't working just so happens to be stuff I was watching often (every version and season of Star Trek, for example).

I'm going to try it again tonight because it has been weeks since the last time.

By the way, I love getting through to Icefilms through Navi-X. Good work guys!
