Problems with Boxee iPod Touch/iPhone remote

I seem to be having problems with the remote on my old 1st gen iPod Touch.

When the remote is connected, every 3 seconds or so, video playback is affected. It holds for around half a second and continues where it should.

This is the same on 2 machines, an older 1.8GHz P4 with 1GB RAM and old graphics card, and a newer 2.6GHz Quad Phenom with 4GB RAM and 8800GTX.

As soon as I disconnect the remote, the playback is fine on both machines, so I believe the problem may be with the internal web server for Boxee.
