Personally I'm not a big fan of the ipad because it's just not practical for daily use by most people. Sure it's cool and all but really when you've got a nice smart phone and netbook/notebook or whatever that has more capabilities and better access what's the point?
And as far as the application from Comcast is concerned, programming on the internet isn't played the same as Cable/Sat. Therefore this issue of time slots viewing is nearly useless and there's no need to record anything. I use a wireless keyboard with a built-in mouse to do the job and it all works just fine. Using a keyboard is obviously faster and more practical then the remote alone.
If Boxee adds deeper search options I'm sure finding programming will not be an issue.
I'd like to know what features in particular you'd think the ipad would help with? I guess if someone would like to have the option of using it for a keyboard it might save money but it wouldn't speed up navigation any.
