    Default Application launcher ?

I am loving boxee, have it setup on a Acer R3600 and using Intelliremote to control it.
However I still wish to use Windows Media Center as it has Skyplayer built in.

So what I would like to do is have a remote control friendly app that I can launch when people press the "Home" button on the remote when windows boots that gives them options on what programs to launch and then launch Media Center , Boxee or iTunes.

Has anyone else done this ? , what programs have you used ?
Something like Rocketdock would be great but that is all mouse based.

    Hi,

Personally, I'm using gbpvr as my front end and then launch Boxee from there. It is very easy to add in external apps, but I'm not sure if you can set it to only let you launch external apps (it is after-all primarily a pvr program).

Alternatively, if you're able to do some tinkering, consider using Xlobby. There are free versions floating around still or you can get the paid, newest version. Be aware there is supposed to be a steep learning curve to figuring out how to set it up for yourself.

There's a plugin for WMC now that will launch Boxee for you:

What I do: I have the Intelliremote server installed http://melloware.com/products/intelliremote/ -- it has a profile for each program you might want to run on your PC/HTPC. Activate the profile (from the remote) for the program you want to launch and then hit the Green/Start button -- that program will start up. There are a ton of built-in profiles, including ones for WMC, Boxee, and iTunes.

There's a free iPhone app too
