Question Issues with Boxee keeping files I have deleted.

    Hello everyone.

Hope Boxee is as awesome to you as it is me.

Anyways, onto my question. I'm sorry if this has been answered, but I've searched Google and the forums and I can't really find an answer, or maybe I did and I didn't understand it.

Also, I just downloaded Boxee a few days ago, from boxee.tv, so I imagine I have the most current version. I'm also running the Beta, not the Alpha.

So, Boxee auto recognized a movie I have in my video folders, "Brick". This movie obviously shows up in Boxee's Movie category for me.

Since then, I have deleted the movie "Brick" from my computer in Windows Explorer; however, Boxee still shows the movie in the Movie category for me.

My question is: What do I need to do in order for Boxee to remove "Brick" from the Movie category? I'm not trying to delete the actual file from Boxee obviously, as I already deleted the file from Windows Explorer. Is there a way? Or is this what everyone means when they say you can't delete files?

    Thank you,

TLDR: I deleted a movie through Windows Explorer, but it still shows up it Boxee. How do I get rid of that?

    Have you tried:

Go to your Movies > Select "Bricks" > Select "Wrong Video? > Select "REMOVE > Select "OK"

I *have* tried that. In a way.

When I go into Movies and select Brick, there is no "Wrong Video" icon. Maybe there is and I just didn't see it? That could be it. I'm at work but will check when I get home.

I'm certain there are only options for "Watch", "Get Additional Info", "Marked as Watched", and "Share".

Again, I'll let you know when I get home if I can find this. It sounds stupidly easy and I'm hoping I just skipped over it.

    Thanks!

Actually I think you need the pre-release version for the movie removal/wrong video selector. I don't have the link handy but it's posted in the forum I believe under announcements.

I need to uninstall completely and do a fresh install correct?

I will also try this when I get home... working some OT so I don't know when that will be.

Thank you guys. That's the only thing that was really annoying with Boxee. I just picked up a remote on Amazon for cheap ($12.50) and with removing wrong videos, everything will be awesome.

Love this program, go Boxee Team!

This worked perfectly! I guess I just downloaded a previous version of the beta or something.

    Thanks guys!
