[inaccurate] Boxee Box being released possibly may 3rd!

I say possibly because the info I got is from an Amazon.com employee who said they are ramping up to have a remote released a week earlier and to begin accepting orders for the Boxee Box on the 3rd. Not sure when they would ship though. fingers crossed!

I can say this much: it will NOT be released on May 3rd.

Why not? Care to share some info?

My source isn't always right but is often correct with the release dates of certain hardware.

No more than it will not be released on May 3rd.

Actually, the best I can say is that Marcel has even said the end of Q2 2010. Which is not May 3rd.

I'd be willing to say he's wrong here.

As Neil said, Boxee employees have been quoted at the "end of Q2" time-line. The end of Q2 does not May 3rd make.

That said, I think what Marcel meant to say was end of Q3 2010. As his post was already AFTER the end of Q2:

All said, the Boxee Box will not be out on May 3rd. Maybe the Boxee Remote, but I doubt even that.

Being outside the US, I'd always assumed end of Q2 meant end of June, I hadn't considered it was the US fiscal year Q2.

Just a thought.

It could still be Q2. Boxee has offices in Tel Aviv remember so it could be fiscally different then the US.
