    Default RF Modulator Request

    Boxee;

    With every house wired with coax cable already, it would be a great feature to provide a coax out of the Boxee. Some may see this as a step to the past and I'm not recommending to get rid of the HDMI capability, just that every house and every room is built with coax cable and most of it, for HDMI consumers, it goes unused. I personally use an RF modulator out of my DirectTV to push the TV signal to other low end TVs in my use. This comes in especially handy during the Super Bowl when you want to display the game on multiple TVs. The main TVs in my house use HDMI for HD viewing but when you want to drag a TV out to the porch where you're grilling, who needs HD and what else has the length, low cost, and ease of setup than coax cable.

    Thanks for your time;

    I assume you are referring to the Boxee Box.

    I don't see this as likely to happen. The idea is to keep the initial Boxee Box small and cheep. This would add both size and cost to each unit.

    The team has said they plan to work with more hardware partners, and try to get on more devices. So, perhaps a future Boxee device will offer coax-out.

    i run boxee 0.9.20 on: ubuntu 9.10, windows xp sp3 (virtual machine), windows 7 and a neuros link hacked to all hell.

    what super powers does a 'super mod' have? the 'super ban'... that, and laser vision.

    Default HDMI RF Modulator

    agentlame;

    Understand you point from the business aspect. I did a google search for an HDMI RF Modulator (HDMI in/Coax out) and turned up nothing. Unless somebody knows something I don't, this item doesn't exist. Why, I don't know, but I could use one. Maybe this is a possible product in the future.

    Thanks for you time on this.
