Does not recognize .avi

Hello,

I am using a macbook 2.4 ghz, 10.5.5 macOsX and the latest version of boxee
It does not recognize .avi files and I am not sure why, I have tried updating sources, manual adding, and removing the source and readding it. Any one have any suggestions??

I have taken the same video files and ripped them using .mkv format and they are recognized within seconds. Does anyone eles have this problem? I have named them according to how boxee wants us to. TV show.Sxx,Exx.type. My folder hierarchy is flawless as well. TV Shows>Dexter>season 3> dexter.S03.E1.avi

What else can I do?

It has worked so far. I will keep you posted if it works with the other seasons
