How is this supposed to be easier than just watching videos with my computer?

By the time I set up all those files and figure out how to watch them in boxee, I'll be tired.and sleepy. too tired and too sleepy to watch family guy.

Especially when I can just go to HuLu.com and point and click.

hey im actually having a bit of a problem with this scanning whats on my networked HDD. bear with my im a newb at boxee, so i have it mapped out but when i go to videos it shows nothing in that folder until i go to the browse folder that is in the video area then i go to my networked hdd and there are the videos but they are not scanned. i have to manually scan them and i have a large collection of videos and it will take a long time for me to do this, is there a way of having it scan each one for me?

(edit) ok Nevermind it has been resolved. dont know how or why. thanks

There may be a network problem with the beta released today. My shares (Vista and Win7) won't stay connected; someone with WHS has a similar problem and a third person posted about something sounds similar problem with MacOSX bexes.

Perhaps a new, updated beta version of this tutorial?

    Just not working for me.

I followed the videos and shared the folder. When I try to navigate to it in Boxee it just doesn't see anything.

UPDATE: Ok, I restarted everything. Now it sees my iMac. I named it IMAC, but it comes up as "IMAC (Samba)", whatever that is. When I select it I get 'ERROR Operation not permitted'.
