Default Boxee on AppleTV or Neuros LINK

    Hey ya'll
I was looking at buying either an AppleTV (I have a Mac) or buying NeurosLINK (http://www.neurostechnology.com/) and putting Boxee on the one I purchased. Can anyone tell me the pros and cons of these? Is one better than another?
    Thanks ahead of time!

I personally use Boxee almost exclusively on a LINK. It is a really great experience, if you hack it enough. (see sig)

Regardless of what you choose, I would STRONGLY recommend against getting an ATV for Boxee.

Your best bet, really, is to hold out for the Boxee Box: www.boxee.tv/box

boxee: boxee chat | boxee wiki | boxee plugins

i run boxee 0.9.20 on: ubuntu 9.10, windows xp sp3 (virtual machine), windows 7 and a neuros link hacked to all hell.

what super powers does a 'super mod' have? the 'super ban'... that, and laser vision.

Agentlame, what makes you say wait for the Boxee Box? Just curious.

The ATV is very, very hardware challenged and will lag with flash and other large format file types. I have one and I use it solely for AVI xvid files. Anything else chokes it. God luv it, it's good for what it can do, but it has limited power.

If you've got $200 to spend, wait for the Boxee Box. If you have $300+ and can't wait till mid-summer for a Boxee Boxe, get a Link, or better yet a Atom/Ion PC (Revo 3610 or Zotac 330). They will all handle Flash, HD, Movenetwork and Netflix.

I would be very interested, as a hardware supplier to hear more thoughts on this thread. Ok, its consensus that ATV's hardware is too weak (or at least not optimized). Has anyone found the nettops are too weak? What about for HD flash, etc. As many of you know we chose the full processor for flexibility, including adding other apps, is that something others here care about?
