The version number mismatch is not the source of your problem and can be safely ignored.

ok, now i have a new problem other than the half screen, which is now a quarter screen on the top left of my 40 inch tv..... but now that i uninstalled and reinstalled boxee it gives me an error that it did not install correctly and to try it again so i do and it gives me no such error but when i click for the boxee folder on my start menu there is no logo for boxee..... and when i start it it hangs there for quite a while before loading up.... i have to crapware or anything... just the basics.

I'm having the same problem on ION Atom 330 based HTPC. Boxee (lastest build) is working fine on my Intel based Macbook pro and my Core 2 Duo Desktop.

When any flash based content is shown in boxee, the loading animation becomes huge and moves to the bottom of the screen. There is usually also a large scroll bar on the right side. Sometimes you can see a partial video, or the adds from the page. Clicking a button to go full screen (in Hulu for example) does nothing.

Hulu desktop and flash in the browser work fine. I tried uninstalling boxee, flash, video drivers and reinstalling last night, but there was no change. I'm using flash 10.1 beta 3. I also tried the above steps and let boxee install flash 10.0 instead. There was no change in the way flash content displayed.

Any help is appreciated. I can post a screenshot later if that would be helpful.

I was having this same problem on my Samsung 42" Plasma. We decide to move the 42" Vizio LCD from our bedroom into the family room where the Sammy used to be (and where I have my Revo 3610 + Boxee setup) because I didn't want the plasma burning in.

After swapping TV's Hulu and other flash based video sites miraculously worked.

That is until I went into the display properties of the computer and re-enabled the setting to make text/icons on the screen easier to see/read. I'm sure most of us have that setting enabled and most of us are probably using the "Large" setting that increases the size 150%. Disable it. Go back to Small (Default). Log off. Log back in. Fire up Boxee and let me know what you see. It is most definitely what was causing the problem for me.

Something about the way that it enlarges just certain things being displayed really plays hell with Boxee's internal browser.

One thing to note: I'm getting full screen video just fine now but they still play like crap. Totally choppy and almost unwatchable. That goes for Fox and Hulu. Not sure about the others. But hey, at least I have choppy, worthless video in FULL SCREEN!

Thanks, cirefly! I'm sure that's the problem. I'll check it when I get home. I've got mine on 150% so that I can read the text on the screen.

Ok, I reduced to 100% and the video shows full screen now! But as you said still choppy and unwatchable. Is there anyway to tell what version of flash boxee is using? Firefox is showing 10.1.
