application settings

how does the last.fm app handle settings? i got so far as to see that the settings are stored in the guisettings.xml. but how is the settings dialog triggered and why is there no OK button? O_o

Everything last.fm does is from internal code from the client so the app doesn't have much control over anything. We are looking to create a new, stand alone app using new last fm api.
