Seperate program for testing scraping of info

I just thought of an idea for a program that uses the scraping abilities of boxee on a simple level so i could tell it to check my folders tell me what movie or tv is finds what it doesn't find so i can see what's detected properly and what's not so i can edit it.

Because on several occasions i've had to change a file check it in boxee then possibly close boxee again change the file again and keep doing this process to see if the scraping is working properly.

If there was a program separate from boxee which allowed me to edit and check files quickly and simply it'd be brilliant for speeding up editing and organizing my media.
