Default Mac Mini or Boxee Box

Im looking to add Boxee to my new man cave. I want a device that is stable and simple for my less geeky wife to use (which rules out Windows). From what I read there are limitations with Apple TV. I'm debating between a Mac Mini or wait for the Boxee Box. I realize the Boxee Box is not released so a lot is speculation. However aside from having a full computer (which I do not really need) what are the advantages of going with the Mac Mini?

Mac Minis are commanding almost full price from eBay and the best I saw was $579 on Amazon. Also I would need an adapter to convert the mini-dvi and audio to HDMI (need it to be a simple input click for the Mrs). Then a Wireless Keyboard. With all of this I'm looking at over $700.

Basically i'm looking for the following
    -Download music and Video Torrents
    -Light Web Browsing
    -Netflix Stream

Given that the Boxee Box is rumored to be $200 I think it's a no brainer if one can wait for the box.

Question is if this is better suited as a central box or a "satellite box" akin to a WMC extender.

Windows too "geeky?" And Mac OS is less "geeky?" Click Boxee Ion on either and go...
Also, both the windows and Mac builds seem to be pretty stable overall.

Nothing against mac, I do like them, but the mini is completely overpriced for what you get no matter the usage. But, if you must...
I cut my teeth on the ATV, but it is very, very limited. You'll be disappointed if you go that route.

Least "geeky" interface -Boxee Box- It's the only option when you start it.
Hold out for the Boxee Box if all you want is Boxee content and no other PC/mac functions for the Big screen.

As "geeky" as any OS-Windows, Mac, Linux.
If you want a HTPC to use boxee AND surf the web, email, IM or anything you want via your big screen,

    • then buy a $330 Atom/Ion HTPC with Win-7 or
    • swallow the price for the Mac mini.
