Nobody was notified. It was a silent release. As in, no notification. Anywhere. Except the website

Yeah, I got that, that doesn't diminish my desire to be notified of new releases. I see little advantage to not bothering to mention to anybody that there is a new version available, especially at a stage where so many people are eagerly anticipating bug fixes. I think at the very least there should be mention of updates in the forum no matter how small.

From what I understand Adam, I think everyone agrees: It's difficult for you, as a user, to experience Boxee's full potential if you're using a dated version; it's difficult for us, as moderators, to help users if we don't know what version they're running; and it's difficult for Boxee dev's to get user feedback if user's arn't up-to-date. I anticipate future builds will be released with a bit more forte.

NomadDNA posted a full list of the changes on the first page of this thread, there weren't really any feature changes, mainly bug fixes and minor tweaks so if boxee was working well for you before then you probably wont notice much if any change.

I did a complete reinstall. This version seems to be having less weird stuff going on for me but I have only just started playing with it

Has there ever been discussion about an autoupdate Boxee feature? It would be great to have it pushed or something (heck just an email even)
