Latest Build (0.9.20.10408) Freezes Frequently

I just upgraded (clean install) to the latest version and it freezes quite frequently on the screen saver and while browsing for files/looking at pictures. This behavior did not manifest itself in the prior beta.

Here are the specs on my machine:

Dell XPS M1530
Windows Vista SP2
Intel Core Duo 2.16Ghz
4GB RAM
Nvidia GForce 8400M GS

Hmm, just installed the new build with Windows 7, 64 bit. Runs fine here so far.

I've not experienced this as frequently for the most part. Boxee has always "acted funny" or locked up upon first install and setting up all the SMB shares for indexing.

I've found that if you install boxee and then set up all your smb shares at once for indexing (music, movies, tv), this mass amount of work causes boxee to lock up sometimes. So, what I started doing is set only one SMB share to index at a time if I want to use Boxee immediately following installation. Once that smb share is mostly done (say 100 files out of 150), I'll then add the next smb share folder etc.

Not the best scenario, but it has seemed to stop the lockups on initial installation.

But, this may not be the reason for your lockups.

Also, I noticed a specific scenario where Boxee freezes pretty consistently:

1. Browse files
2. Go to the Network
3. Select a machine on the network
4. Select a photo folder
5. Browse through the photos

I will replicate this tonight and upload the logs
