Default Boxee Audio Fails on Ubuntu 9.10 64bit

    Howdy All,

So I cannot get Boxee to output sound on my media computer running Ubuntu 9.10 64bit. I am using a normal analog output for sound and audio from everyone of my other applications (chrome, firefox, VLC, Pandora One, to name a few) all work just fine.

However when Boxee tries to play any audio it tells me to "check my audio settings" - no matter what I change/toggle in the settings though I still get zip in the means of audio...

Is there something i am missing here?

    Regards,
    ~Jeff

Thats where I was toggling settings at - regardless of what I set there it does not get audio.

As for my version it appears to be out of date - downloading the latest one now to see if that works.

    Angry

I have exactly the same problem with my new (bought it yesterday) system.

    MB: Asus M4N78-VM (GeForce 8200)

I installed Kubuntu 9.10 (64bit) and the sound works fine within KDE. But Boxee does not play any sound. And there is no difference between playing MP3 or a YouTube video. I tried all possible analog audio settings

    Thumbs up

I think I did find out what the problem is!

In "kmix" there is a slider for PCM volume. It is set to 0% by default. After adjusting the PCM slider together with Master and Front to 100% Boxee plays all my music!
