Problems with Hulu, choppy playback, not flash.

I remember with older versions of Boxee, Hulu/tv shows had no problems. In these beta's that I've tried, and the latest versions of Boxee, playback is very choppy/stuttered. Specifically with Hulu, and most (not all) shows, Netflix is fine. I followed all of the steps given in the forum before posting. I assume it's not a flash problem because Hulu plays fine on the actual website, whether in full screen or regular, and also plays fine in Hulu desktop. I have an Asus EEE 1000HA w/Intel Atom n270 1.6ghz, 2gb ram. I've even tried GMABooster to clock my graphics to the maximum allowed. I'm not sure if this issue could maybe be fixed if I could somehow lower the quality? Or any other solutions?

That's a hardware issue due to the N270 single core. Same thing with Revo 1600 users, just too little power in that single core. Then those have the Ion LE chip and DX 10, which has some limitations too. Remember, Boxee is running and it's Mozilla browser, which is adding load on your CPU. Boxee has gotten better at this over the past few builds. But the CPU is really at it's limit due to having only one core and Hyper thread.

I know you said you updated, but there are several other factors that can also affect your playback. I.E. ION vs ION LE and DX issues, Boxee Build version, OS, DX version, Nvidia Drivers, Flash Beta 1p or 2p (1p uses less CPU), Silverlight updates, Move Networks plug in...

Everything has to be nailed on that unit to work as good as it can. After that, it comes down to Horse Power.
