    Yes, you are absolutely right. Functional wise it simply saves you one step at the most. I was thinking more along the lines of presentation for the home screen. Since I do not use the queue, it is empty space on my home screen. The apps like Netflix, MLB, Youtube etc. have very distinguishable icons and would look sweet sitting on the homescreen.

    I've been trying to add a new shortcut to the main menu that will launch Hyperspin from my hard drive but I am struggling with the syntax, any ideas???

    Code:
    <item>
      <thumb>icons/icon_menu_tvshows.png</thumb>
      <label>Games</label>
      <onclick>run("file:///C:\Program Files\Hyperspin\Hyperspin.exe")</onclick>
    </item>

    I really wish there was a way to add recent items from the RSS Feeds you follow to the homescreen. Using this method you can only add a list of the feeds and that doesn't even work in the new boxee version, nothing happens when clicked.

    I been trying to do that since FOREVER. But like you said- it only adds the list of feeds but doesn't launch the RSS app when clicked.

    Its a mute point though because the 1.0 version of Boxee changed the home screen so that the Featured content takes up the whole bottom half of the screen

    Is there a way to add your apps to the homescreen? Boxeedb://apps/?limit=0 or variations of this won't work. Thanks

    Since I just got the 1.0.2 software running (mostly) on my Linux box, I had to play with this. I'm happy to be able to report that you can replace the feeds there with your recently added, just like in the beta.
    Boxee Beta 0.9.22.13692 (32 bit) / Maverick Meerkat (Ubuntu 10.10)
    Acer AspireRevo 3610 (Atom N330/ION/4GB RAM+500GB HD), PS3 BD Remote, HDMI to Vizio M320VT
    Boxee Beta 0.9.22.13692 (32 bit) / Maverick Meerkat (Ubuntu 10.10)
    Asus Eee PC 901 (Atom N270/Intel 945GSE/2GB RAM+32GB SDD)

    I am also on ubuntu 10.04. did you take out the middle featured section? I want to add the recently added to the middle section only and leave the right and left column the way it is. Or maybe add something else to the right column other than queue which I do not see me using it very much.

    What else can be added on the right column? what about a watched, unwatched, and total movies count? and TV Watched, unwatched, and total TV shows count. that could be some useful information on the homescreen.

    Edit: I uploaded the home.xml file from the 1st post and it works however as it states it moved my featured to the right and added the recently added to the middle. I just want the recently added in the middle for now. I want to take out the featured, is that possible?
    edit again: found it in a search.. works great. check out this THREAD

    Default home.xml on OSX

    Anyone know where I can find the home.xml file on an OSX install? Did a search in spotlight and browsed around inside Users/username/Library/Application Support/BOXEE/UserData but I have not found anything.

    Never mind just found it in another post. Reposting here in case someone finds this:
    Mac OSX path is Applications>Boxee>(rightclick | show package contents)>Contents>Resources>Boxee>skin>boxee>720> home.xml
