Must Boxee run to download torrent?

The last time I downloaded a torrent file, I left Boxee running. However, I wonder whether I can exit and put the aTV in standby mode to continue downloading? Anyone know?

well - at the moment - when boxee exits it will stop the download service as well.
this may change in future versions.

that woul be nice to have ability to run rtorrents without boxee runing

I thought I read somewhere an ATV user found a way to install a third party app to run on the ATV independent of Boxee.

I'll have to dig around later and see....
