Default [Release][Beta] Fuzz's Movie Ripper

This app allows you to backup your dvds to ISO files directly inside Boxee. Time to put that physical media in storage

This program comes with no warranty. Use at your own risk

Couple things to note before we get started:
- This is BETA - if things go wrong, post here
- Windows Only. Its the only thing I have to dev on. Feel free to look at the source and make a mac or linux compatible one.
- You must have dvd43 or Anydvd to rip commercial dvd's
- My app uses a program called cmdow which allows me to keep Boxee in focus when I launch the dvd ripper. It may come up as 'potential malicious' software due to the fact that it can run programs in a 'hidden' format. It is safe in this instance, but if windows bugs ya, let me know.

Version 0.4
Changes:
There is now a file browser for selecting your directorys.
Some more updates to the GUI (got the new icon too)
Squashed a bug where the dvd would fail to show that it was 100% completed and close.
Dvd Tray opens when file is complete
Ripper will shoot out an error if your dvd tray doens't have media in it. (if anyone has dual drives, let me know how this works, as its an xbmc function)
Using the abort button, will now close the actual ripper program.

Need feedback on the following Items:

Notify any bugs while trying to select drives or your "save to" directory.
Does the dvd save to the correct directory?
Does the media playback correctly in Boxee?
Was the filenamed correctly?
If the program stops responding or acts weird, please send a report with logs attached.

Also just need general feedback
Does it feel intuitive?
Do you like the look?
What can I add in to make it better?

**** Attention Magic Jack users **** - had one tester that had issues with this app formating his Magic Jack. This Bug should be squashed, but if you encounter issues, let me know.

Download now from my AIO repository: dir.fuzzthed.com

I'll be able to test this again in a day or so. I've changed some things that will make testing go more smoothly for this app.

Looks fantastic too!

thanks, will test asap and post reply.
I have been launching boxee out of windows media center for this functionality alone. I love the fact you used ISO rather then folders..

Actually, I am planning on adding more support in the future for different file types. Only issue really is it becomes kinda 'bloated' so I might have to work on some kind of addon support for only downloading what you need. Feedback would be great as I haven't got much which means its working great or noone needs it

My antivirus alerted on this and without thinking about it, I let it take the "default action" which was to delete the file. Now I get command prompt windows popping up repeatedly, stealing focus from Boxee. I tried uninstalling/reinstalling the app, but it doesn't fix the issue. Where should the cmdow executable be placed in order for it to function with your app?

The command prompt will continue to pop up biut the focus should go back to boxee immediately. Unfortubately its the nature of the beast until I can find a simpler solution

For me, there is one command window that seems to sit open and stay there throughout the entire process, while a second window is popping up every few seconds, then disappears. While it is up, it does steal focus and when it goes away, it does not give focus back to Boxee. Eventually, when the process gets to about the 99% mark, the command window that was open for the entire process disappears, while the one that was appearing and disappearing keeps doing its thing and the process seems to hang at 99%. I end up aborting it, which still leaves a fully functional ISO sitting on my drive.

Unfortunately, I updated to the latest beta of the ripper at the same time that my anti-virus screwed it up, so I can't really tell if this is the beta just doing its thing (the earlier betas didn't act like this) or something my AV did to it.
