Boxee Shutdown issues

Hi,

I just installed the boxee beta on my Windows XP box, it seems to play some stuff ok, other things don't seem to work. I'll discuss that further in another thread when I can compose more details.

My issue at the moment is that Boxee doesn't seem to shutdown when you tell it. I can quit boxee and the screen closes, but the task remains running. Trying to kill the process doesn't work very quickly, can take several minutes before it actually dies.

As a result attempting to restart boxee right after shutting it down isn't possible.

Is there some solution or workaround for this? If you need more details let me know.

I'm just speculating here, but you may be trying to shut down Boxee while it is in the midst of its initial indexing all your local media, which could potentially cause problems like the one you describe. If you allow it to run normally for a while and give it a chance to finish its initial indexing before you shut it down, this probably won't occur.

It's possible thats the issue, it is very hard to know when it's actually indexing.
