Can't get really anything to work properly

I ended up upgrading my OS to Ubuntu 9.10 since I couldn't get the latest version of Boxee to work on 9.04. When I installed the previous rev of Boxee, I was up and running in minutes on the newest version I can't seem to get anything to work properly. I went to Pandora and it just kept asking me to login and it did nothing. I then went to a different area called view shows and I started to watch a show on CBS the first visit I got only sound and no video. I left and came back and then got video but then I started to get do you want to logout of Pandora messages one right after the other until finally I got an unexpected application error and this popup wouldn't go away. When I try to view the youtube videos on the frontpage I just get the yellow progress bar. I then have to exit out and hope it let's me leave. Sometimes I can kill the processes other times I have to do a complete reboot.

Well youtube started working but it took 10-15 minutes before the video started playing. I tired hulu and just got a blank screen. I started up iptrak and during the hulu attempt I was definitely getting a lot of traffic between hulu and my PC but just no playing. For kicks, I removed and forced a 32 bit install but this didn't improve the experience. I ended up downgrading.
