Library access to UPNP shares?

I am trying to add a UPNP share to my Boxee video library. I can connect and watch videos over the share if I view them in the "Files" section. However when I add the share to the videos library the share always shows as Not Connected.

I am aware that I can use SMB for shares as well and I do for media that is in this location. I am trying to get the UPNP to work with the videos I have on my PC at home when I am on the road with my laptop. Both PCs are running Windows7. When I tried out the internet streaming via WMP12, I thought it had fixed all my wants, but WMP12's interface and sorting still leaves much to be desired. I purchased a Zotac MAG HD-ND01 for the sole reason of having a low powered machine that I can leave on all of the time to connect with said media. Also in case you are wondering I do NOT use the Windows LIVE functions in WMP12 to stream the movies. Hamachi's VPN works just as well and allows me to accomplish everything the LIVE streaming media access allows.

So, the question is, does Boxee allow UPNP shares to be added to the library?
Any help or thoughts would be appreciated.

Has this been resolved?

I am using the latest version of Boxee (as of 9/22/10) on Vista and my UPNP server always shows disconnected when used as a local source. Just like the previous post, I too am able to play video from the UPNP server from Files.

I'm not sure if this is fully supported; if it is, it's not working.

You could remove any UPnP sources from Local Sources, stop Boxee, enable debug logging, start Boxee, and re-add your UPnP source(s), wait for it to fail/show up disconnected, and then stop Boxee.

Then file a bug report at http://jira.boxee.tv and attach your log file.
