Default Hulu video works great, "Recommended" Official Networks not so much??

I don't understand why all of the Hulu streams for shows work great but the "Recommended sources" are choppy and sluggish. For example, watching the pilot episode of Caprica on SyFy is a terrible experience with sluggish frame rate and stuttering. Watching the Hulu source instead exhibits none of these problems... I have observed this with every show I have tried to watch.

    What gives?

It has everything to do with the quality of the source, the stream from Syfy (or pretty much anyone else) is just not as good or as stable as Hulu. However, Syfy Network is still the primary source of that particular show, therefore the "recommended" source.

Besides, with the issues Hulu has with Boxee, this is a way for Boxee to not draw extra attention to itself.

I should have mentioned that the "Recommended Sources" play fine in Firefox but not in Boxee. Unfortunately this is also the case with Netflix, which plays at higher resolution and frame rate in Firerox vs Boxee. Anyone else seeing this?

Yes, FX, FOX and CBS are currently unsupported in boxee. Work in process=Beta.

NF, does play in boxee very well. Is it a a lower frame rate in boxee vs browser? Don't know...it plays nice enough for me though.

Yeah, Netflix is not nearly as good for me in Boxee as it is in Firefox. Unfortunately the point is moot because the quality of Netflix on my XBOX 360 is better than everything else I have tried Netflix on.

I wish everything would just *work* on one device/platform flawlessly.
