No video just sound with beta upgrade.

Hi, I just downloaded the new release and installed. I am only getting sound when playing videos no picture just black screen. The alpha version worked fine on my system.

Did you do an upgrade or a clean install it is recommended a clean install try renaming your UserData and trying again.

If this is still not working please post your hardware specs..

Have the same problem with clean install on windows 7. Alpha worked fine

Gigabyte p35-ds3l
Intel Pentium E2160
nVidia 8600GT

Hi, Application vids seem fine. It is my local videos that will not play just sound.

Guys please rename your UserData folder and then use this thread http://support.boxee.tv/forums/49599/entries/43963 to generate debug logs and then run boxee again and then send me the logs ..

Anything works: userdata2 for example...

Just tried again and seams only xvid(AVI) files are affected. It plays fine x264 (MKV) files.

Will post debug logs, little later.

Edit: here is log file when try to play local avi file.

I fixed the problem with updating DirectX. Hope it helps the rest of you...
