I know this worked in Alpha but I haven't tried it yet in Beta. I will see what this does for me over the weekend. I would assume you would have to select an unused strBoxeeId. I would imagine if you had an overlapping ID that Boxee wouldn't list the duplicate. I am not sure on this though.

Absolutely correct. I've been around databases a really long time and this is just strange. Which leads me to believe that multiple tables are checked perhaps with a join before it acknowledges a new video.

I did create an unused strBoxeeID for the new record. I haven't had time to play around to see if it needed to be added to directors or actors since they are related tables.

If I come up with anything I'll post it here. Maybe we can figure this out.

Problem solved. I was just testing with a small sample of my videos. The one I was trying to add as a test was not in the directories I gave to Boxee. It appears that if the path name (minus file name) doesn't have an entry in the media_folders table, then Boxxe doesn't acknowledge it.

Awesome! I have all of my videos in the same folders so I wouldn't have experienced that. Glad you got it tested and resolved.

When I do testing I work on small subsets and don't always follow the rules. Consulting in a corporate environment, the users definitely don't follow the rules. You have to try to think like them to find some of the weird things they might do. Although in this case I wasn't really trying that, just making it easier to test.

My real Boxee DB is kept on another drive since I've been changing covers, fixing TV shows, etc. I just put it back when I'm going to use Boxee.

    @lateforaa

As I was going through and fixing the 11 seasons of MASH where the beta titled all episodes as M*A*S*H, I thought are people like us just big fans of Boxee or are we candidates for commitment .

Hehe, I was thinking the same thing as I was correcting the 10 seasons of "Are You Being Served"

    Code:
       * Movies/TV Shows being recognized incorrectly

I find it is easiest to resolve this by using the manual recognize feature.

Open Boxee and browse to the file.
Select the Read More option instead of Play.
At the top will be a wrong video option
Select that it is a movie and if your file is named correctly you will see the movie with the correct year behind it.
Select it and you are done.
Where is this option at? I am in my movie library with the wall of movie posters. I click on the poster and it brings up the option to play it, mark as read, add to queue, share. No wrong video option. I don't understand how boxee can turn "Australia (2008).avi" into "Kung Fu Panda". There are probably about 40 wrong movies out of ~450.
    See picture for example.

I keep getting Kung Fu Panda turning up as well instead of The Dark Knight and Quantum Of Solace!
