Default Solved: No picture windows 7 x64

Hi!

Well, as the title says i can't get a movie to show itself...
I get sound, subtitles and some muffled flashing colors on the left & right edges like an equalizer.. but no picture :/

I am fairly new to boxee and maybe I've missed some display setting... I don't know.

Anyways, all help would be appreciated and thanks in advance

Here is a link to a video showing the issue:

What version of alpha are you using?
What video card type and model?
What video file type are you trying to play?
Does this happen on all video format types?

What do you define as "no video." White or black screen?

Are you sure your video card drivers are up to-date?
Is your DirectX up to date?
Is your video card dated?

I'm replacing my GeForce4 MX with a GeForce 9400 GT because of similar problems (forum search: white screen of death).

Edit: users are having success with updating directx, here:

make no assumptions with microsoft. Check out the DX website, download the MS assistant, and it'll tell you if you're up to date. Many users have solved their problem today with upgrading.

I have trouble qualifying the quality of Video cards, since I'm not sure Boxee has made any specifications on what are the minimum requirements of Beta. For example, I'm learning that my Nvidia GeForce4 MX won't work with beta, but did with Alpha. I'm upgrading next week to GeForce 9400.

NomadDNA - Where is that download located? I'm looking on that site and I don't see it anywhere. I've got Win7 x64 and DirectX 11.
