New App Release: NBC News-Video Feeds

My new NBC News-Video Feeds app is up and running.

It includes NBC News Video Podcasts of your favorite MSNBC shows all in one place. Each one is updated automatically with the latest episode. (Some shows are daily or weekly. Each updates after being aired on the Pacific Coast-Times vary based on MSNBC's own doing.)

Nice - I'll have to give this one a spin!

Since all of the feeds are Video Podcasts, I'd suggest adding the word Video to the App Icon.

Yeah, good idea. I updated the pic and changed the text below the app in Boxee.

Plus, the videos are the entire show! Not separate clips of each segment like on Clicker and main NBC show site.

Simple feed for now. Had to make it through the initial Repo learning curve first with this NBC and SomaFM-2 apps.

Not sure how many peeps are really interested in these NBC feeds, but I sure am. That's what prompted me to try my hand at this stuff. Made it simpler to have 'em all in one place (app).

Hope to add a background and customize the layout soon.

Judge: this app rocks. Thank you.

I tried jumping ahead a few minutes on the Brian Williams 1/03/10 episode, and instead of jumping ahead, Boxee said that I had finished the entire episode. I tried the same thing on the AP news, but didn't have the issue.

Glad you like the app!

Not sure which one of your systems or version of Boxee you have this issue with. But on Beta 10063 on XP and Win-7 I am able to FForward no problem.

Now, the key here is not the app itself. As it is simply a feed to a itunes podcast m4v file. There is nothing I can do to fix it if it does not not work because it is the player inside boxee that is the cause.

Now, try a newer version of boxee or let it cache a little before FForwarding? Just throwing out some ideas ....

If you find it happens on the newest version of and not windows...then file a bug on the player. Let me know what you find.
