losing ui audio

Here's one for ya.
Been using Boxee for a while but just recently decided to start ripping my collection to an mkv container while maintaining the 5.1 audio. The files play great in Boxee and my Yamaha receiver shoes all channels coming through. Problem is when I finish playing the video Boxee's ui sounds are gone until I restart the application. If I play another video 5.1 or 2.0 sound, they play and sound just fine. is anyone else having this issue or is it something with my setup?

Boxee beta 10063
using coaxial out to Yamaha receiver
Audio in files is via handbrake dts/ac3 passthrough

Can anyone try this and see if they get the same problem? It would let me know if I'm just having an issue on my machine.

Hi: I have the same issue with an MKV with AC3 stereo sound. Quitting and reopening boxee resolved the issue

I am using Boxee beta (although same problem on previous version as well) on Ubuntu 9.10 and playing AC3 content (DVD or otherwise) works find but switching back to stereo after (going back to the UI or playing non AC3 content) results in no audio.

Restart Boxee fixes this problem but it a tedious to do, anyone know of a fix to this?
