Stuttering video/weak responses while playing video and raising playback UI

Hi all,
I'm trying to understand - why, when playing a low-response video source (a network source) and raising the playback UI (Forward, Backward .. and boxee little video menu) the playback start stuttering ,the controls barely responsive, but without raising the UI - playback is smooth.

anyone has an answer?

Using Windows 7, BOXEE 0.9.20.9647.

That is a three versions old Beta. So, you need to upgrade to the latest build. We cannot troubleshoot out of date versions.

Video acceleration was not enabled on that version, so that causes lag. If you have a slower CPU and vid card, that too can multiply the effects.

Update to the latest build and see how much things have improved.
