    Default Beta install on Juanty

Hello all, I am having some problems installing 9.20.9819 on Jaunty. I downloaded the .deb and installed it. When I try to run Boxee it shows in the bottom "task bar" for about 1 minute and then it disappears. I never actually see Boxee run. Any help would be appreciated.

Try running if from the command line and see what errors you're getting:

    /opt/boxee/run-boxee-desktop

Make sure to look over some previous Boxee-Jaunty threads for what othe software may need to be installed.

Please post the log file. First of all, is the log file created?

    Cheers,

Here is the error I recieved:
    Code:
/opt/boxee/Boxee: error while loading shared libraries: libmms.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
    /opt/boxee/run-boxee-desktop: 38: /opt/boxee/give_me_my_mouse_back: not found
@newcolour if you would be so kind as to tell me where the log file is I will gladly post it.

@jlr1001 I did look through some of the other threads but nothing seemed to fix my problem.

@marcel No, I haven't got it working yet but I appreciate your concern.

But of course. The log file is in /tmp and it will be named after your home directory. Mine is simone-boxee.log (not newcolour).

    Cheers,

If you are talking about the /tmp folder on the root directory then there are no log files in that folder.

I had the same problem in Jaunty.

I fixed it by installing liblzo2-2
    Code:
    sudo apt-get install liblzo2-2

@Shawnx thanks for the suggestion. I ran the command but the package was all ready installed.

@newcolour I have found my log file, please read below.

FYI I have upgraded from 9.04 to 9.10 and I am now using 9.20.10069.i486 . The problem still exist, Boxee starts up (I never see it) and then shuts down.
