Watching TV Shows without network access

I think they are using a Mac, and therefore /Volumes/My Book/TV Shows is perfectly acceptable as a path. Any internal drive or mounted external drive appears like that in Mac OS X by default (in the format /Volumes/disk label). For example, I have an external hard disk connected to my iMac with a label of MediaStore which appears with a path of /Volumes/MediaStore and the path to the TV Shows directory on the drive appears in Boxee as /Volumes/MediaStore/TV Shows.

IC, I was wondering if it was MAC or not.
So maybe his string is out of order? Maybe it should be: /Volumes/Linksys/TV Shows ???

Either way, shouldn't his shares on this network drive show up under Network Sources? Simply click it and done?

Do you have to use a password to gain access to thie drive? If so, that password and user name need entered into the settings/SMB area of boxee so it can gain access.

Other than that, I'm clueless as to why. Maybe AgentLame has a suggestion.

Im not sure why it's not working... the only way I can actually view the list of tv shows that i have is if I go into the "files" open from the home screen. Here are some snapshots that should or I hope would help you guys understand the problem to help me out. Thanks.

Interesting. I just submitted a bug report about offline access earlier today.

On my 10.6 Mac, when no Internet connection is available Boxee simply exits (crashes?) shortly after launch (after second splash screen, but before menus come up). If Internet connection is lost after the app has loaded, then the app will exit within a few minutes, presumably when it goes to try to update some content or other in the background.

There's nothing in the Boxee log when this happens (well, there might be some error about being unable to open some URL. Maybe.)

I wonder if I'm the only one seeing this?

Did you submit it on Jira or on here? As for my problem here's what i got in the error log;

Ok, I see that you are loading two folders that end in TV Shows.

Two things:

1- They are both called /My Book/TV Shows. so Im confused which is not working.

2- One starts with smb://Linksys/My Book/TV Shows Which looks correctly done. The other is not listed properly and I suspect is the one not working. It starts with only /Volumes/My Book/TV Shows. It's missing the SMB:// or a drive location.

Not knowing exactly what you are using system wise, I think your address is incorrct on the second sare.

Go to Boxee Settings/Media/Advanced and change the "Do Not Resolve Videos under this Size" to less than 50MB.
