I'm trying to use the Last.fm integration. I'm able to log in and play my recommended music, but have a few questions.
1. What do the two options on the LastFM setup screen mean? "Submit songs to Last.fm" and "Submit Last.FM Radio to Last.FM"?
2. When the "recommended" playlist is playing through the website I'm able to block/love the track to add it to my Last.FM library. Boxee offers a "Recommend"; does that integrate with Last.fm itself, or just my Boxee profile? If not Last.fm, is there any way to build my preferences while listening via Boxee, so that it continually improves what it's sending me?
3. "Stations" are available on the Last.fm website, many of which appear to be essentially just built around related artists based on a starting artist, but others get linked off those. I can search for an artist in Boxee, such as "Colin Meloy", and I get all the related artists, and from there (at the bottom of the list: seems this should be at the top instead!) play the "Related Artists Last.FM". However, I don't see the "Related Stations" Last.fm the website offers in addition ("Indie Radio", "Singer-songwriter Radio", and "Acoustic Radio" in this case). This is a killer feature in Last.fm as it allows me to explore a whole sector of the music universe and discover scads of new (to me) music.
4. I'm getting quite a few "Failed to retrieve data" error messages with various Last.fm profile requests ("Weekly album chart" for instance). Anyone know if this is because my Last.fm account is fairly new or if something's changed in the Last.fm interface, or if I should put in a Boxee bug report?
Also, a general Boxee/app settings question: I've set this up on my MacBook running Boxee. When I go home to the same profile on my AppleTV, will the changes already be there, or will I have to restart Boxee to pull the profile changes, or will I have to re-enter the Last.fm settings?
