    Default Help a Newbie

I'm thinking hard about dropping cable and moving to boxee. As I don't have a spare computer sitting around, what would be the easiest and quickest way to be up and running? I hear talk of Revo's and Ion's, I have build pc's in the past but have no interest in doing so now if there is a off the shelf that works well. I know this is extremely open ended and big but I'm just trying to rap my head around it right now.

    Thumbs up

I did a huge write up on the Revo. If you want real world performance, videos and update info, click my name above in this post and hit my blog. It should give you a good start.

Any Atom Ion machine with the Dual Core will suit most, most people's needs for cable substitution. Don't cheese out and buy the $199 single core unit!

Just have realistic expectations with just how much you want to do with the machine. It is, after all, only a dual core 1.66 ghz unit. So don't go crazy installing USB DVR tuners and plans of running it all through Win Media Center as it will lag.

Use it for Internet video content with a browser, Boxee apps & smb shares, and you should be very happy.
