I'll just throw this out here so that everyone understands. It appears as though people who received invites aren't supposed to make public comments about it yet. So it's unlikely you'll see any first hand accounts from those testers.

    EDIT: or not... read http://forum.boxee.tv/showthread.php?t=13311

There is actually already something in the Bugs section of the forum...

Oh, you people cannot even keep a secret for a few weeks!

Beta members are free to post on the forums any accounts they might have. The thing is though that there's more than just the forums as a feedback option that is given to invitees. The forums get a small percentage of posts about it, while most of the reporting ends up filtered to zendesk, jira, or the dev team directly.

It makes sense if you kind think about it.
    Common issues w/ Boxee:
Beta Important Info | FAQ & Support Requests | Hulu Mature Content | Search

    UnBoxeed app development:
    Comics.com | ESPN360 | Weather

Boxee as a concept was revolutionary.
The UI however was seriously flawed in the context of the mainstream.
Whilst the beta is an evolution, it feels entirely new, streamlined and refocused to far more effectively support its purpose...

    huge thumbs up...

Overall I like the new UI, especially the queue (which could be improved but is a solid step in the right direction), the shortcuts, and going all the way to the object (tv show, movie, online, whatever) to manage it (add/remove to apps, add/remove as shortcut, share, etc). It feels much more intuitive to me. Though it's probably worth mentioning that I stopped using the alpha version several months because of ongoing issues with indexing my local content so perhaps I'm more "open" to a new style / different UI.

I would like to see the TV shows pages/listing be made more customizable/configurable. Some people like text/lists and others like images/thumbnails; some like episode titles and other likes episode numbers (or even original broadcast date). The alpha would let you choose between various styles and I think it would be worthwhile to bring this back.

The beta does offer you the choice of viewing in list or thumb form, but I agree, the multiple options the alpha offered were much more flexible and desirable.
Before posting bugs/problems, make sure you check Boxee Support, this announcement and use the forum search function.

I don't see where to configure this at the show level -- can you point me to that? Thanks!
