Good question. I have no good answer, though. I actually thought that could work in linux too. I have noticed neither problems nor "stars and sparkles" as far as performance is concerned.

    Cheers!

It's amazing the things you can do when you are sick and don't go to work

It does not offer the advantages of hardware acceleration on anything except Windows, however, hardware acceleration is only part of this Flash update. One or many of the other tweaks/bugfixes they incorporated into it may have improved overall performance enough for you to notice a difference, even on Linux.

    SURPRISE!

The 2 Lenovo S12 Netbooks we ordered arrived yesterday as I was walking out the door. We purchased the ION model. I snatched one and toyed with it last night.

Initial boot + app installs from http://ninite.com (love that site). I installed Flash manually from the Adobe Labs page and checked the version.

Launched Hulu Desktop ... it played beautifully. I will install Boxee and report my experience.

    Default OS X Flash

While GPU decoding is only offered for windows, it seems that there are still significant performance improvements with 10.1 for OS X.

Has anyone got 10.1 installed on Apple TV?

    See post #9:

I have a script that I have written up, to download and install 10.1 on the AppleTV. If you run the script twice, it is smart enough to know you want to undo the upgrade. I really don't want to post it, since I've been unable to get 10.1 to work yet. I do have the new CrystalHD Broadcom Card installed on my AppleTV, so that might be causing my problem.

If someone is really interested, PM me, and I wil share the link to the script.

Holy crap that site is awesome! I usually keep a directory on my external HDD of all the software that I know I will need to install after an OS rebuild, that site covers more than half of them. Its going to make my next one so easy. Thanks much for that link!
