I know that similar problems to this have been posted before but I didn't see any situation quite like mine and any nod in the right direction would be great.
I've been running Boxee on my customized Neuros Link box for some time and love it. By customized I mean that it has a 500Gig hard drive installed and is running MintLinux from the hard drive. I am also running a current version of Boxee.
Typically I use it for movies but recently I added two seasons of Doctor Who. Season 1 was recognized properly but season 2 was not. Instead of the season from 2006 it listed all of the episodes in the 1960's season 2. I attempted to use the "wrong tv show" option which would give me the 2005 series but would never change the listed data. I even tried removing it but it would just stay there as if it was stuck. Not wanting to erase the whole library and let it reindex I used sqlite browser to locate the wrong entries and added the entire season to the database manually including the images from thetvdb.com for the correct episodes. The odd thing however is that some of the images updated to the correct ones but others did not. Some of them such as episode 3 School Reunion shows the updated pic from the thetvdb.com but others such as episode 1 New Earth shows the old 1960's pic. My assumption is that the pic is only downloaded once and then cached but I don't get why some updated and some did not. Is there any way to forcibly evict the old images and get Boxee to re-read the image url in the database?
Thanks!
