Uitzending gemist

I've cobbled together a boxee app for the uitzending gemist streams of the dutch public broadcasters. Can anyone help me test this? It works fine from my local net but there could be some links wrong here or there that could prevent it from working outside. Repository at http://www.castelijns.org/apps

Well some of the shows don't bring up as list and then when one does the file does not play for me. Looks a lot like the hulu feeds app I don't think mms:// files are supported that might be the issue.

mms:// is not a problem, but there was a bug in the scraper that generates the xml files on the webserver. This should be (mostly) fixed now, and I would be thankful if someone would try it again (it should not be necessary to reinstall the app since the fix is server-side). From here most programs are working now, and I'll investigate what is happening to the others. And yes, I could see why you would see some similarities with the hulu app. I guess I am lazy, and also not very familiar with python.

I can open the plugin but when I try to play a video it dos not work.

Thanks for testing. I just tested it myself from an IP address outside my local net and it installs and runs fine. I'm wondering what your location is, it could be the uitzending gemist website is blocking all non-nl ip addresses. Maybe someone from the Netherlands can give it a try?

Still not all programs are showing a listing, I'll keep working on that.

Cool you're working on this. Of course there's XOT as well, but that doesn't run on Boxee (anymore) and it doesn't look like the project is moving towards it.

My experience with your app so far:

- i only got 1 stream working (3opreis) so far.
- All streams seem outdated.. last updates i see are from sept 10th.

Some specs:
My Location: Netherlands
Hardware: Mac Mini core 2 duo / 2Gb Ram
OS: Ubuntu jaunty 64-bit / 2.6.31 kernel
Boxee version: 0.9.14.6992 (running with getlibs)

Apple trailers / Flash and my own added mms streams (politiek24 & tweede kamer plenaiere zaal stream) running fine.

Let me know if you need more log output / info!

Hi Bertje,

I am living in the noorder part of the Nederland so that should not be the problem. I have tested it with two different pc one with Linux and one with Windows both have the same result. I am working behind a standard Telfor modem via a wireless connection.

The mms links seem to be wrong....

example taken from;

doesn't work

however this:
http://cgi.omroep.nl/legacy/player?/...b.20090831.asf
does work.

btw: I'm currently trying to write a scraper for another app, so I'm curious as to where did you got the links from?
