You will need to get the install files onto a USB stick but no reason why it wouldn't work with your atv if you are able to obtain the USB files.

If you have any friends who own a mac then get them to create the patch stick for you.

gparted supports creation of hfs+ file systems, and offers a live cd:

i run boxee 0.9.20 on: ubuntu 9.10, windows xp sp3 (virtual machine), windows 7 and a neuros link hacked to all hell.

what super powers does a 'super mod' have? the 'super ban'... that, and laser vision.

    Default vmware

you can also try to run a osx tiger image in vmware on a windows sys.
    i have heard it works.
i used a osx86 sys myself to create the patchstick

There is ATV4Windows patchstick which should allow you to patch the AppleTV and get in via SSH. From there you might be able to manually install Boxee. Not sure though.

Or you could turn your Windows PC into Linux and run it on there

Or, go to an Apple store, bring your USB stick, and do it there
