Thumbs up Asus Eee Box B202 Video Lag

    Hello,

I recently bought an Eee Box (PC) and I tried to get LinuxMCE to work but gave up due to the fact that it didn't support my resolution and it would not connect to the internet.

I installed the default XP (Restore Disk) and installed all the drivers and then I discovered Boxee and installed that but the only problem is it lags like hell when playing videos from iPlayer etc... and I dont know why could anyone give me some suggestions?

    Thanks in advanced!

Well I have good news and bad news.
The good news is that I have the same box and with windows 7 installed on it, it worked like a charme, even with a MCE remote.
Now for the bad news the Atom chip can not ever play flash worth a crap. Boxee can play 720p mkv files but it can not play any video in flash. Sorry

Yeah, unfortunately, the board has the Intel onboard video, which is what kills the atom processor. If your board was an nVidia Ion based (integrated 9400) you would be all set, other than that you just have a notebook which can never process HD video in flash (youtube is horrible for it somedays).
