I got a strange issue going with my remote and Boxee.

Its a Philips SRM 510010A, the white one with the USB IR Receiver. I'm running it with Ubuntu 9.04.

lirc is installed.

When I boot the box and run irw I can see that the remote is being recognized and the pressed buttons show up in the terminal.

When I open Boxee the remote doesn't work.

If I quit boxee, unplug the receiver from the USB and plug it back and run boxee again I get the remote working ok.

The same thing happens with xbmc.

Any clues?
