Default Boxee for windows has stopped scanning for new media

Boxee for windows has stopped scanning for new media.

I have a moderately large collection in boxee. But for some reason, boxee has stopped automatically adding new media placed into the folders that are told to search.

Any suggestions on how I can diagnose the problem? On previous versions of boxee, I'd hit "A" but that doesn't seem to do anything anymore.

    Thanks.

I have the same problem. I'll place a new episode of a television program (named properly, of course) in the same directory as the others that are scanned into Boxee, then I'll let Boxee sit for hours and even try restarting it a few times and then letting it sit, but it never seems to pick up that added episode in the "Local Media" browser. Clicking on "update source" does nothing.

It shows up just fine when browsing to it manually, of course.

Trabant: are these network shares you're talking about or are they on the hard drive of the machine running Boxee? Mine are over a local network share.

When I have this issue I go to browse unresolved videos and then I go and force it to recognize. The tv shows are easy after you recognize the first in a series as long as they are all in the same folder you can apply it to the whole folder.

For the movies you have to type them in individually if it fails to recognize them.

Yes, what you guys are describing are exactly my problems. I'm having the problem on local drives and not network shares.

Having the same problem here, but with movies, it found 69 out of my 156 movies (local disc), after that it just stopped recognizing through imdb for some reason. Manually added the rest.

All my files are named title(year).extension, and even though there will be some movies there are hard to find, it even leaves out movies where a manual search only reveals one hit.

I know we're just in alpha, but hey, nitpicking is a part of it, no? ^^

I am running the latest version (clean install), and no, they don't show up under unresolved videos.
