Fancast RSS Feeds Working - Mostly

I've tried the Fancast plug in app, but it did not play at all. Python error, so I uninstalled it.
I tried using the Fancast RSS feeds for specific shows in my Boxee web account a few weeks ago, but they did not work either.

Today, I tried a few and they are now working...mostly. I had some play just fine. Wow, cool. Some will play for a minute or two but then stop with a pop up stating: your pc is struggling to play the video. Please choose "optimize". Of course you can't choose anything, so you have to stop the video.

I was able to get 75% of my choices to play full term. Check it out. Maybe what you like will play normally.

that is awesome! the team is making nice progress with the mozilla/xul/gekko/whatever-mozilla-calls-their-api-today api.

fancast really needs a nice native app.

the difficult thing with fancast would be what to do with shows that link outside of the fancast website like lost:

Also, Fancast RSS feeds work in ATV too!

Well, you have to click to the show's entire series and then click the RSS feed that lists all shows for that series. Now add that to your Boxee RSS link on the boxee web site. A URL to the Fancast web site for one vid most likely won't play.
Now, the Lost series is CBS and I tried it and it does not work. Video loads but says opening in a new window and sticks. But that's why there is the CBS, Hulu, PBS, WB apps. Fancast makes up where the others fall short with regard to: Foodnetwork, Discovery, TNT, History Channel, Science Channel etc. Which is exactly what we need.
Fancast RSS link format must be: http://fb1.fancast.com/rss/93942.xml (this is for the Lost series that does not work, but just to give a format example.)

Also, I did get a Hulu Mature audience feed to work with a Fancast series RSS feed and no prompt to sign in!: It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia. http://fb1.fancast.com/rss/2157.xml So some may work and some may not.

Now, the video is decent on my Windows machine, but horrible on ATV. Way laggy on the ATV. But this is progress!
